Parrot Toys
CHOOSING THE CORRECT TOY FOR YOUR PARROT
The bird sizes quoted for each toy are for guidance only, you should use your own judgment when selecting a toy, after all nobody knows your bird better than you! The toy sizes suggested may not be suitable for particularly strong or destructive birds.
Please note, as many of our toys are made from natural materials; colours and shapes may vary from those quoted.
Many toys are made to be chewed and eventually destroyed; this is all part of the fun for your bird. If this happens sooner than you expected it does not necessarily mean the toy is faulty, just that the toy was not suitable for your bird. Therefore in these circumstances we cannot replace toys. If you have ordered a toy and on receipt feel it is not suitable for your bird, we will be happy to exchange it.
Birds (just like kids!) can get bored of toys quite easily. To help prevent this, try and build up a “toy chest” – wood, rope and leather toys for chewing, brightly coloured acrylic toys, puzzle toys, feeding toys, foot toys - and rotate toys frequently before your bird tires of them.
Although we try and make sure all the toys we sell are as safe as possible, we recommend introducing new toys under supervision until you are happy your bird is used to them, and there are no safety concerns. It’s important to regularly check toys for wear and tear, you may need to repair or replace any which have become unsafe. Pay particular attention to rope toys, any loose threads should be trimmed straightaway.
